Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan who had ball from Tom Bradys 600th touchdown pass gets his haul of gifts – ESPN Australia

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan who ended up with the football from Tom Brady 600th touchdown pass has received his bounty of gifts from the team.

Byron Kennedy was in a seat in the end zone section at Raymond James Stadium where wide receiver Mike Evans caught Brady’s record-breaking pass. Evans then tossed the football into the stands where Kennedy grabbed it. Kennedy then gave it to a Bucs official.

Brady said the fan would “get something nice in return” for giving back the ball. According to the team, that haul includes two signed Brady jerseys, a helmet, a jersey autographed by Evans and Evans’ game-worn cleats. The team is also providing Kennedy with two season tickets for the remainder of the 2021 season and all of the 2022 season, plus a $1,000 credit to the team store. Brady told Peyton and Eli Manning on ESPN’s Monday Night Football simulcast that he would give Kennedy a Bitcoin, which is currently valued at $60,922.

“I got the ball back,” Brady told the Mannings. “There was a lot of negotiation in order to get the ball back.”

On Friday, Kennedy showed off part of the gift package.

Reporting from ESPN’s Jenna Laine was used in this story.
