Game 4 of the ALDS between the Astros and White Sox goes down on Tuesday at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago. The game was originally scheduled for Monday,. The Astros lead the best-of-five series 2-1, which means this is an elimination game for the White Sox. If the Astros win Tuesday, then they’ll advance to face the Red Sox in the ALCS. If the White Sox take it, then the two teams will play a decisive Game 5 back in Houston on Wednesday night. The essentials for this one:

Jose Urquidy had been slated to start Monday, but the postponement means that instead Lance McCullers Jr. will take the mound for Houston. McCullers, who also started the series opener, will be pitching on full rest. In Game 1, he threw 6 2/3 shutout innings, punching out four batters and holding the White Sox to just four hits on 104 pitches. During the regular season, McCullers started 28 times and posted a 3.16 ERA (136 ERA+) and a 2.43 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 162 innings.
Across the way, left-hander Carlos Rodón will start for the White Sox, as originally planned. Rodón had an excellent season, but his effectiveness waned down the stretch because of shoulder fatigue. However, he hasn’t seen game action since Sept. 29, so perhaps the abundance of rest will help him.
Below you can find highlights, live updates, and analysis as the action unfolds.
